In a world where oppression seeks to silence, divide, and erase, the Lavender Interfaith Collective (LInC) stands unwavering in its commitment to justice, liberation, joy, and love. As a diverse coalition of LGBTIQ+ and allied faith leaders across the United States, LInC issues an urgent Call to Action – United for Justice, Liberation, Joy, and Love, which calls upon individuals, faith communities, and advocates worldwide to join in an urgent, collective movement for intersectional justice.

Faith must be a force for liberation—not harm. Across traditions and identities, LInC affirms that every person is worthy, every voice sacred, and every body divine. Our commitment is rooted in the foundational principle of religious freedom, rejecting any attempt to impose governance based on any single faith tradition. At World Pride 2025, we reaffirm our mission: faith must unite us, not divide us.

We call upon the LGBTIQ+ community to rise together in the fight for dignity and liberation. Though our identities and lived experiences vary, our solidarity is our greatest strength. Intersectional justice is not optional—it is essential. We will not allow systems of oppression, discrimination, and nationalism to fracture our movement.

We urge faith communities to actively uplift and champion inclusion. Places of worship must not merely offer welcome; they must be spaces of healing, renewal, and activism. Faith leaders must stand boldly in advocacy, offering pastoral care, amplifying trans theologians, and confronting injustices that threaten our people. Religious institutions must educate their members on trans and nonbinary realities, human sexuality, nonviolent social change, and policies that heighten vulnerabilities to harm.

We demand action. Advocates must reject policies that strip our communities of gender-affirming care, HIV services, reproductive healthcare, disability accommodations, and other essential programs. Justice is not selective—it is intersectional. We cannot be free until all are free.

LInC further calls upon all people of conscience to hold elected officials accountable—to resist self-serving governance, defend democratic principles, and ensure the dignity of every human being.

Above all, we celebrate joy as resistance. In a world weaponizing despair, joy is our defiance—our sustenance, our power, our reminder that liberation is more than survival. It is thriving.

The Lavender Interfaith Collective stands boldly, unapologetically, and unshakably committed to collective liberation. Together, unstoppable, and unafraid.
